Belcombe Court in Bradford on Avon

Originally built in 1700, Belcombe Court was altered considerably in 1734 by architect John Wood the Elder, one of the best known architects of the day, who was famous for designing many of the finest buildings in Bath.

Belcombe Court stands in 60 acres of formal gardens, parkland and woodland. From 18th century origins to a 21st century private home, the property has been gently evolving for over 250 years.  Sympathetically restored, the elegant interiors honour the history of the house.

Decorated by the current owners, Paul and Caroline Weiland, inside the house is a blend of classic and contemporary, with an eclectic mix of antique and modern furnishings.

The attention-to-detail throughout the property is what makes Belcombe Court so captivating. The oak doors are thick, the coved ceilings and moulded cornices draw your eyes upwards, whilst the brickwork creates a rich tapestry throughout the estate.

There are nine beautifully distinctive bedrooms, situated in the main house. Each offers a different aspect and connection to the grounds. With big sash windows bringing the outside in, giving a relaxed and cosy atmosphere.

With a range of spaces, Belcombe Court offers a truly bespoke approach to events. The house, grounds and estate make it a perfect venue for wedding ceremonies, receptions as well as yoga and holistic retreats. The property has a licence for civil ceremonies for those couples who would like to get married on site either inside or outside. The Barn is used for cookery classes, floristry courses and many more creative workshops. The plentiful grounds means opportunities are endless.
