If Opera is an exciting company that emerged from the twenty-five-year-old Iford Arts festival. After three seasons, If Opera has acclaimed productions to its name and a reputation for artistic excellence, with a focus on supporting emerging artists and enriching the local community. Our approach is to offer spectacular opera in an informal and welcoming setting, in unique venues, seeking out diverse, exciting talent.

Client Engagement

  • Our opera and picnic proms performances offer the perfect backdrop for client entertainment.

  • If Opera’s 2025 season will take place in the idyllic gardens of Church Farm, Wingfield (just outside Bradford on Avon), home of long-standing If Opera Patrons, David and Fiona Robinson. Secluded and peaceful, this ancient farmhouse house and tiny, fourteenth century gem of the little parish church of St Mary, are surrounded by a churchyard, garden and duckpond.

  • Corporate partners and members can take advantage of the our VIP lounge, reserve pre-set picnic tables and chairs in prime spots, and book a gourmet picnic to enjoy before the performance.

Community Engagement

Supporting If Opera helps us to deliver our What If? family and community programme. Throughout the year, we will be working at local schools across Somerset and Wiltshire, including those for young people with special educational needs and disabilities, as well as hosting teatime concerts in the local community to support the wellbeing of socially isolated older adults.

We offer the opportunity to showcase your brand to our highly engaged audience of bookers, members and patrons as well as our target demographic of affluent, culturally engaged individuals via our bespoke print collateral.

Each year we see over 3,000 visitors come to the festival in Bradford on Avon and our promotional outreach is distributed to 40,000+ relevant households and businesses in the area.

Our audiences are typically:

If Opera season brochure - this design-led, A5 brochure is in circulation from March to August and is the primary promotional tool for the festival.

The print run of 40,000 is delivered to If Opera’s dedicated database of bookers as well as targeted door-to-door distribution to affluent postcodes in Bradford on Avon, Bath and surrounding villages alongside key community and business locations including TICs, cafes, hotels etc.
