We are delighted to be working once again with the Bristol Ensemble – Orchestra for the West of England for our 2025 season
Since its foundation in 1994, by violinist and Music Director Roger Huckle, the Bristol Ensemble has been at the forefront of musical life in Bristol and the Southwest.
As a collective of specialists that collaborate to provide the highest calibre of performance for a wide range of audiences, versatility is one of Bristol Ensemble’s greatest attributes. From the music of the 17th century, performed on original instruments, through to contemporary composition and experimental music, the ensemble has a busy schedule of concerts in Bristol and the West of England, in addition to its regular concert series in Henleaze and Nailsworth.
Since its foundation, Bristol Ensemble has collaborated with many of the world’s finest performers, including Nicola Benedetti, Dame Evelyn Glennie, Freddy Kempf, Peter Donohoe, Andrei Gavrilov, Chloë Hanslip, Matthew Barley, Alan Schiller, Willard White, Emma Kirkby, James Bowman, Andy Sheppard, Wayne Marshall, Lesley Garrett, Emma Johnson, Natalia Lomeiko, and Gabriel Prokofiev.
As the orchestra for the West of England, Bristol Ensemble remains at the heart of the region’s musical life, delivering musical excellence, inspiring audiences, and shaping the future of classical music in the region through its innovative approach to performance and education.
