Join us for a Gala Fundraising Dinner at Homewood, Bath
An evening of fabulous music and fine dining to celebrate the arrival of spring…
Wednesday 19 March 2025
Drinks from 6pm, dinner at 7pm
After the glorious success of our inaugural gala event in 2024, we are pleased to invite you to this year’s fundraising dinner which offers a unique opportunity to hear some of our principal artists sing in the beautiful setting at Homewood.
Taking place at Homewood, a relaxed yet luxurious country house hotel, the evening begins with bubbles in the hotel’s stylish dining room - a feast for the eyes, statement artwork adorns brightly-coloured walls and vintage chandeliers add eccentric glamour.
Following this, a fine three-course dinner prepared by Homewood’s brilliant chefs awaits… this unique menu created especially for the evening will be expertly crafted using the best Somerset produce as well as ingredients handpicked from the hotel’s kitchen garden, all matched with specially selected wines.
Throughout the evening, you will enjoy a selection of romantic, dramatic music from members of the If Opera ensemble, past and present.
Enjoy fine food, wine and conversation interspersed with captivating live music and help use raise much-needed funds to support our work. With your support, we can continue to create sensational experiences for our audiences, community and industry.
We are thrilled to introduce two of this year’s repertory company to you: soprano, Inna Husieva, and mezzo soprano, Alyona Abramova, both taking principal roles in Rigoletto as Gilda and Maddalena respectively.
Alongside them, we welcome two artists from the Royal Opera House’s Jette Parker Artists Programme, Welsh tenor, Ryan Vaughan Davies, (our Prunier in La Rondine 2022) and Korean baritone, Josef Ahn, recent baritone soloist for the Royal Ballet’s Fauré Requiem.
