Meet our Gala Dinner singers

We are thrilled to introduce the singers joining us our Gala Fundraising Dinner at Homewood, Bath on 19 March including two of this year’s repertory company: soprano, Inna Husieva, and mezzo soprano, Alyona Abramova, both taking principal roles in Rigoletto as Gilda and Maddalena respectively.

Alongside them, we welcome two artists from the Royal Opera House’s Jette Parker Artists Programme, Welsh tenor, Ryan Vaughan Davies, (our Prunier in La Rondine 2022) and Korean baritone, Josef Ahn, recent baritone soloist for the Royal Ballet’s Fauré Requiem.

British based Russian mezzo-soprano, Alyona Abramova, was born in Moscow and trained at Moscow’s Maimonides State Classical Academy, the Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Centre, and the Opernstudio of the Bayerische Staatsoper.

Inna Husieva, London based Ukrainian soprano, studied at the Donetsk College of Music and the National Music Academy in Kyiv before coming to the National Opera Studio in London in 2022.

Korean baritone Josef Jeongmeen Ahn was a member of the Jette Parker Young Artists Programme at the Royal Opera House (2022–24). His roles at The Royal Opera included Schaunard (La bohème), Dancairo (Carmen), and Marullo (Rigoletto), among others.

Welsh tenor, Ryan Vaughan Davies, is the 2024 winner of The Welsh Singer competition and is a Jette Parker Artist at The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden.
